Why Is My Yield on Cost (YOC) So High?

Some users may find that their Yield on Cost (YOC) in their portfolio is showing as exceptionally high (10,000% or more). We calculate your Yield on Cost using your Average Cost metrics. If these metrics are incorrect (or missing entirely), this will cause your Yield on Cost values to be abnormally high.

This sometimes happens as well if you're using our Automatic Brokerage feature, as not all brokerages send us the Average Cost information (which we agree, is very frustrating). If this happens to you, you can click on the 'Edit' button next to the holding manually override the average price information that's been sent from your brokerage.

Once all of your Average Price information is updated and correct, your Yield on Cost metrics should once again show correctly.
