Some users may experience a Plaid error when attempting to link their TD Ameritrade account that results in a "Action Required With Your Account" message. Users will then log into their TD Ameritrade account and find that there are no immediate messages or any setup processes to complete.
This is incredibly frustrating, but typically speaking, this error message has to do with your Security Questions.
Users have reported being able to resolve this issue by doing the following:
- Log into your TD Ameritrade Brokerage account
- Hover over the "Client Services" link in the top menu
- Click "Personal Information" in the drop down menu
- Then, under "User ID Security" click "Edit" next to "Security Questions".
- After setting your Security Questions, return to The Dividend Tracker and attempt to re-link your TD Ameritrade brokerage account.
