When linking your Ally Invest Brokerage account via Plaid, you'll be presented with a prompt to enter your "Consumer Key". This is confusing, unless you know where to look.

To find your key, do the following:

1. Log in to your Ally account at https://secure.ally.com.

2. In the menu bar, navigate to Tools > Ally Invest API > Manage Applications. (If you cannot find this, it may also be in the menu bar of the Invest dashboard, navigate to Documents and Tools > API.)

3. Click "Create a new application" and then make a "Personal Application."

4. Fill out all the fields, then click "Create".

5. Return to "Manage Applications".

6. Locate the app you just created under "Developer Applications" and open it.

7. Copy the API tokens: CONSUMER KEY, CONSUMER SECRET, OAUTH TOKEN, and OAUTH TOKEN SECRET and enter these values when you sync your account using Plaid.
